For me, fishing for predators is a never ending story of adventure. Every day is different and the rivers I fish are changing all of the time.
I fish about 40 hours a week and my local river delta is so big that a lifetime is too short to explore it all. Searching new areas in the hope of a huge hit, or a small inhale bite, inspire me time and time again.
Before I sleep my thoughts are about the water, wondering what will happen next. Even though I fish almost every day sometimes the excitement keeps me awake. On the water the smell of the air does something with my mind. As soon as the boat hits the water a flow of information starts moving around my head. Most of the time I follow my instinct, looking at the colour of the water and the direction of the wind. Going somewhere I have never been before is what attracts my adventurous mind.
As a child I dreamed of being a champion. I had countless adventures. Some fantastic, some leaving me with a broken line. But it made me the man I am today. My dream came true and I managed to win five national titles, but still the story continues. I have to go out there… it’s a story without end.
